Tobacco use is responsible for 87 percent of lung cancer deaths, most cases of chronic obstructive disease , which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis, 21 percent of all coronary heart diseases and kills more than 400,000 Americans each year, with about 700 of those deaths occurring in Fulton County.
